Edtech startup Whitehat Jr Will Create 1 lakhs teaching jobs in 3 year; Also Add techical jobs
Whitehat Jr, part of Edtech giant Byju focussed on teaching coding to teach, is tapping new markets in Brazil and Mexcio. The expansion will create around 1 lakhs teaching jobs in India in 3 years beside adding technical jobs of engineers, product developers, data scientists, big data experts, UI engineers, UI designers and AI engineers.
The two year old startup has lighting growth in India, the US, the UK, New Zealand, and Australia. There are around 1.5 lakh paid students, taking 40,000 classes everyday from 11,000 teachers.
All new teachers hired will be women. The can teach from comfort of their homes with flexible timings. Their earnings will match entry level salaries drawn by IIT and IIM graduates. Personalized teaching has been hit among students communities with swelling numbers. Out of the 1.5 lakh paid students, aroound 70 % are from India and rest from US, Australia and New Zealand.
Besides starting testing in Brazil and Mexcio, it is also enrolling schools for teaching coding in India. Till now it has tied-up with over 100 schools and has ambitious target of makkit it 1,000 in coming months.
